WHAT IS ENVIRONMENTAL AND ROAD EDUCATION?

 

Road Education represents the set of knowledge, habits and attitudes related to rules, norms and signs that regulate the circulation of vehicles and people on the streets and sidewalks

Environmental Education is the promotion of knowledge, attitudes, actions and environmental values leading to the adoption of positive behavior towards social and natural environment, which will turn out into actions of care and respect

PURPOSE

It allows citizens to have an adequate response in different traffic situations in which they could be involved.

MAIN CAUSES OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

 

CARELESS DRIVING

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol

  • Driving without wearing seat belts

  • Carrying out reckless maneuvers

  • Speeding

  • Carrying an excessive number of passengers

  • Driving above safe speed limits

  • Driving and talking on cell phones or talking with passengers so that distracts their attention

PEDESTRIAN IMPRUDENCE

  • Not to look left and right before crossing the street.

  • Not to use the pedestrian path when crossing the street.

  • Riding bicycles on sidewalks.
  • Not obeying the traffic signs.
